Integrative Studio: Week 6

9th Sept, 2019: Malvika Ma’am

The 3-D structures that we made out of brown file card gave shape to our metaphors and made them aesthetically pleasing. Although these were ten separate metaphors, they come together to define one single person. Therefore, there is a connection between all of them.

In this lecture, our challenge was to come up with a link for connecting our metaphors together and thus, the 3-D model. The metaphors could come together either by means of a story or a way in which they can link to one another. The 3-D sculpture on the other hand, was to be made by placing the related metaphors together or by forming a story around them.

The composition did not have any restrictions and therefore we could make use of any shape to form our final sculpture.

The process started by making the mind maps first and then giving shape to our models.
