Finalizing all the elements of my final magazine layout helped me in creating a proper sequence and arrangement. The layouts helped me in categorizing the magazines on the basis of theme and the placement of visuals and textual content.
A PDF document is always helpful when it comes to viewing the final magazine. It helps us in understanding how the document would appear digitally. It also gives the viewer an idea of the magazine layout and it’s correlation with the theme.

Digital Mock-ups are very helpful when it comes to understanding the actual look of the magazine. By creating these mock-ups for both of my magazines, I tried to explore a way by which I could convey to the viewers how it would appear physically and how all the elements would come together.

Critical Reflections:
It is important that the viewer understands the theme of the magazine through the layout and this was one of my aims in creating these. Apart from this, I also added some background design and colour to uplift the visuals present in the layout. Creating a layout with elements placed over a spread, helped me in fully utilizing the space and rightly placing the elements. A proper grid structure is always helpful when it comes to creating magazines.
The cover also plays a vital role here. For both the covers developed by me, I made sure that the visual was the focus and established a connection with the magazine. The text on the cover gave an overview of the rest of magazine. The important part here is to create an understanding for the viewer about how the magazine plans on bringing out the theme and what is the main idea behind it. Since both my magazines depict two different themes, I made sure that the cover and layouts were developed accordingly.
Hence, by taking inspiration from the existing magazines and developing my own style, this process helped me in creating layouts which would be able to bring out the essence of the magazine and at the same time be appreciated by the viewer.
The review helped me in understanding the project in a deeper manner. Keeping my ideas in front of a viewer who was new to the entire process, helped me in gaining a perspective of how it appeared to them and what they thought about the various possibilities. The presentation combined all the aspects of my project acted as a documentation of the entire process.
Overall, this assignment helped me in developing a better understanding of the discipline I was going to take up. It helped me in exploring different parts of the same discipline and breaking it down to the one I was interested in. Therefore, by working on small elements, we could gain a perspective of a larger specialization.
