We continued working on our different prototypes. These prototypes had to be an accurate representation of our final models.
The materials used to make these two models included elastic bands and Wire.
Elastic bands provided a good shape to the model. It easily represented the point of contact and since its stretchable, it was the most apt material.

The next prototype was made out of wire. The thickness of the wire provided some stability to the wearable. It was also made for the same point of contact.

This is the Material Research including the different materials used by us for making our final wearables.

Our Final Products:
The two wearables made by us are inspired by the painting :’Creation Of Adam’ by Michelangelo.
- The first wearable made by us is out of acrylic sheets and magnets. The magnets have a repelling effect showing the point of contact. They don’t touch each other as the painting depicts that there is no contact between the two fingers. The reason we used ‘Blue’ colour is because it represents loyalty, heaven and faith. This is an exact imitation of the painting.
- The second wearable is made out of metal sheets completely. it shows the two fingers touching and is to worn by both hand together. This is our interpretation of the painting. The reason we used the colour ‘Gold’ is because it shows the flow of life from God to Adam. And therefore, the golden side represents God and the silver part shows Adam to whom it is flowing and thus only a part of it is gold.
