Integrative Seminar: Week 9

30th September, 2019: Meenal Ma’am

What is research?

It refers to the study of materials or the collection of data. Research can be done in many ways: by conducting surveys, by talking to people, by interviewing or by collecting information from the internet. When we ourselves go and collect information from the people, it is referred to as primary form of research. When we try to interpret the information given on the internet or other media, it is called secondary form of research.

What is the purpose of this research?

We get to understand our objectives in a better way. We get to know how different people act in different situations and how they think. Ultimately, this process helps us to arrive at a conclusion. A demonstration in class helped us to understand the concept better.

Further, we had to come up with three questions each, for the cities we had chosen. It could be based on any one of the aspects. The questions we created had to be informative and open ended. Also it shouldn’t be sensitive in nature.

The place I chose is Bangalore. And the aspect I chose is Places of Interest.

These are the questions I formed.
