The individual maps made by us had to be framed together to form one single A2 sized map of the area chosen by us. This map had to be such that it included elements from all the individual maps and formed a very detailed structure of the place. It had to be as informative as possible.
The idea behind our map was to include a tracing paper on top of the area marked by us. The tracing paper showed all the important landmarks on it. Even when this sheet was lifted, the sketch of the area was to be seen.
The important buildings were shown in a 3-D perspective and the smaller houses were shown flat. The different icons made by us, helped in understanding the type of building or the location of a restaurant, shop, cafe etc.
The use of different colours helped in making the map look more attractive. This also helped in distinguishing the different elements of the map.
