Invisible Cities is a novel written by Italo Calvino, who was an Italian Journalist. He was also the write of short stories and novels. His imaginative fables made him one of the most important Italian fiction writers.
Calvino was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1923. His father was an agronomist and botanist and he also taught agriculture and floriculture. His mother was a botanist and university professor. Therefore he came from a secular and educated family.
This class was all about coming us with a timeline for the different events from Italo Calvino’s life and bringing it together. These events could include his ideologies, education, the different books written by him and so on.
Creating a timeline would help us in increasing our understanding about him. We would also get to know a lot about his writing style and what inspired him to write the way he did. There were many events that took place in his life which also influenced his way of writing and the kind of novels he wrote.
This also helped us in exploring his life incidents and creating a timeline in a way that one could be linked with the other. As a part of a group assignment, it was also easier to collect more information and put it down together.
