Drawing: Week 11

11th Oct, 2019: Jai Sir

Character design involves the making of an entirely new character from scratch. The process of character development starts with conceptualising wherein all the details of the character are noted. The next step is to visualize the character’s background story and developing the character around it. This is very important as it defines the character in a better way.

It is very important to understand the character before actually drawing it. Therefore it becomes important to know its position, expressions and so on. Next step is to make the final character in different angles. This gives the character a good placing in the setting and also helps in studying it in a better way.

By following this process, the minute details can also be captured and the final sketch of the character can be made.

Characters made by me in class.

My first character is of a young teenage boy and second one is a middle aged women.

Since these are completely new characters, there are no restrictions in developing them. It can be a male, female or an animal based character. It can also be a combination of two or more of these.
