Inquiry questions help us in developing a deeper understanding of the parts and elements chosen by us and give us the information required to create one ourselves. The inquiry questions are built up on the basis on a certain amount of research. This research involves a lot of deep diving into the aspects of element and how it is plays an important part.
The knowledge questions on the other hand, play a vital role in gaining the basic information of the part of the element. It helps us in understanding the part on a ground level and creating a basis for our research.
The part I am focusing on is Layouts under Editorial Design for Fashion. Layouts play an important role in designing any editorial and therefore, a research based study on the same helped me in categorizing it into different parts. The questions here, helped me identifying the various uses, purposes and impacts that a layout can have on the reader. It is primarily based on far one can go to create these layouts with respect to the target audience and the editorial itself.
The Knowledge questions framed by me are:
- Why are layouts important for an editorial/ magazine?
- What is the purpose of a layout?
- How can a layout be used to create a visual impact?
These basically focus on the primary functions of a layout and bring out it’s necessity and uses that intends to have.
The Inquiry questions framed by me:
- Can layouts be used to reflect the theme of an editorial?
- Would layouts be more effective if more visual content is involved than text?
- Should a layout consist of all design elements?
These questions mainly provide a deeper sense to it and create a better understanding of the same.
