The layouts created by me required some modifications which were made in this lecture. I tried to align the elements on the layout in a more precise manner. The text and pictures were put together in relation with each other. I also made some changes in the paragraph formation of the magazine by adding sub- paragraphs and dividing it in a better format. Also, unlike the previous format, I aligned everything to the margins which gave it a better finish.
I also referred to a few magazines to make the changes. These were also very helpful in making us understand the placement of text and utilization of tools like text wrap in a more prominent way. The placement of images was another important factor in these. All the magazines are different from each other, based on the the kind of content and information they provide. Therefore, it is vital to use these references in relation to it.
The next part was to create a layout for our booklet based on ‘Imaginary cities’ created by us. These were six in number and had to be put together in a booklet with the story and related images. The layout created by us has to be correlated to the stories and their placements. Factors such as the size of the font and its placement, the correct placement of image and so on, played an important role in this.
