The most important feature of a poster is the composition of different elements in it and the colours used. A proper composition defines the poster with the correct placement of all the elements. Colours on the other hand, have a greater impact and convey the idea of the poster in a better way.

Some of the works of Wes Anderson were explored in this lecture which helped us in understanding the concept in a deeper way and applying it to our work. The different principles used in the posters made by him, gave us a better perspective of it.

Inspired by these techniques, we had to make a poster using Photoshop and Illustrator. This poster could be the replica of the original one or a new version of the same.

The movie chosen by me is Jurassic Park.

The reason I chose this movie is because it has a lot of characters and scenes to include in the poster and give it a new angle and look. I chose to highlight the Dinosaurs and the main character of the movie: Alan Grant. I also highlighted the jeep that the characters used to travel in the movie. Therefore, I tried bringing together all the main elements.

Some of the references used by me are as follows:

After combining all these elements, this was the poster made by me:

I tried using a vibrant gradient in the background to highlight the main elements. I also added the logo and the remaining text. The tools used by me include pen tool, brush and also the shape tool. I also tried to add some texture to the yellow border to give it a better look and match it to the theme.

I made use of both Illustrator and Photoshop to make it.
