The timelines made by us were discussed in class. This discussion gave us a better insight into what all could have been improved by us and what were the good aspects of it.
The timeline made by me was based on the Evolution of Swords. I chose eight swords for this and put them together on the timeline. The description of the swords included aspects such as its design and uses and how it had evolved over the years. The swords chosen by me included the Khopesh, Shotel, Acinaces, Ulfberht, Jian, Kopis, Falcata and Gladius. The sketches depicting the swords gave a better idea of it’s appearance and how it could be put to various uses. I also showed how the different civilizations affected the style and usage of the sword.
I tried to give it an antique appearance by staining the paper. This suited the choice of object and its evolution. I also tried to give it a different kind of a layout which made it more appealing.

This discussion also gave us a better understanding of our aspects and how the timeline could be used to show the different changes in the design of an object.
